Yes. The SBS PGDM is AICTE approved, NBA accredited and accorded MBA equivalence by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). It is widely recognised as equivalent to an MBA in corporate and professional circles.
What Is the Eligibility for PGDM Admission at SBS?
A bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university, with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories), plus a score in CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT or ATMA.
Can I Get Admission Without CAT?
Yes. CAT is not mandatory at SBS: a MAT, XAT, CMAT or ATMA score is accepted just the same.
Does SBS Accept NMAT or SNAP Scores?
SBS lists CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT and ATMA as its accepted entrance exams; NMAT and SNAP are not on that list. If you have taken NMAT or SNAP, a counsellor can tell you which of the accepted exams still fits your timeline.
Is There a CAT Predictor or CAT Score Calculator I Can Use?
Yes. Our CAT Predictor and CAT Score Calculator give you a quick estimate of your CAT score before results are out. SBS shortlists on your actual entrance exam score together with your academics and profile, and since CAT is not mandatory at SBS, a MAT, XAT, CMAT or ATMA score counts too.
Can Final-Year Students Apply?
Yes, provided you complete your graduation before the programme begins. For final-year candidates, the previous year's marks are used for merit.
Is Work Experience Required?
No. Freshers are welcome, and every student is assigned a faculty mentor from day one. There is also no age limit.
What Is the Selection Process?
Shortlisting on entrance exam score and academics, then SBS's Idea Representation / WAT round and a personal interview. The final selection weighs the entrance test (35%), presentation, GD and interview (40%), academics (20%) and sports and extra-curriculars (5%).
What Is the Total Fee, and Can It Be Paid in Instalments?
The PGDM fee is about ₹7.85 lakh for the full two years, covering tuition and academic expenses; hostel and personal costs are extra. Fees can be paid in 4 semester-wise instalments. The application fee is ₹995 + GST.
Are Scholarships and Education Loans Available?
Yes. SBS is empanelled with IDFC First Bank for scholarships to selected students, and helps students get education loans from leading banks.
What Is the Placement Record?
SBS has 100% placements and 100% summer internship placements since inception. The highest package is ₹16.12 LPA and the average is ₹8.65 LPA, with 200+ companies visiting every year.
How Long Is the Summer Internship, and Is It Paid?
The summer internship is 8 weeks. Stipends typically range from ₹15,000 to ₹35,000 a month, and companies offer pre-placement offers to exceptional performers.
Can I Take a Dual Specialisation?
Yes. You can pair AI with your core specialisation or combine two business domains. Specialisations are finalised in the middle of the second semester.
Is There a Hostel on Campus?
Yes. Separate air-conditioned hostels for boys and girls are inside the campus, on twin or triple sharing, with wardens and 24/7 security.
Can I Visit the Campus Before Taking Admission?
Yes. Campus visits can be scheduled during official hours, so you can meet faculty and students first. Ask your counsellor to arrange one.
